The space in the red corridor, was free as I passed it this morning so made a sudden decision to take some work along in order test it out in a space and try and connect with it with a view to considering how, and what to include in the degree show. I felt it was important to establish strategies of my own that can form a starting point. I can then take on board advise/ suggestions.
It was really good to consider how the pieces related to each other and the space. I do have a tendency to put too many things out. I wanted to work with the architecture of the space, so my starting point was the squares of the skylight and on the floor.
The contradiction of rusting metal and stained rubber glove is successful. The table top is suspended from the ceiling, but at a low level. I like the yellow with the blue Although the glove is very new and artificial, the staining mellows the colour.
